I am just so touched.

On Saturday, while I was immersed in the drama of my son's health crisis, kindness and love were flowing all around me and I didn't even know it. The lovely Willoughby, over at This Stop Willoughby, has given me this award, called The Friends Award -- which is just so kind that I am a little overwhelmed. I am late in thanking Willoughby, but it certainly is not because I am not grateful.

Here's what I am supposed to tell you about this award (and I quote):

*This award is bestowed on blogs that are exceedingly charming.

*These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends.

*They are not interested in self-aggrandizement.

*Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. *Please give more attention to these writers.

*Deliver this award to other bloggers who must choose others to pass it on to and include this *Cleverly-written* text into the body of their award.

Isn't that just the nicest thing? And really -- while I was feeling scared and stressed, Willoughby was wrapping her kindness all around me -- and she did it without knowing how much I needed it! Can I just say that I do not believe in coincidences.

I can think of so many blogs I have encountered that are just this kind of friendly, welcoming place. Here are just a few that I think should be highlighted with a Friends Award:
I would also tell you that Karen at the art of heart has a lovely, warm and welcoming blog -- and she is taking a little break from blogging right now.

Visit these blogs and I guarantee that you will make new friends - and isn't that the point?
